With our 2nd anniversary coming up next month, we’re commemorating our continued existence with a very special show. On October 7 at [Night Club 101](https://www.nightclub101.com/?ref=hearingthings.co) in Manhattan, we’re hosting a night of fall-friendly music starring two exceptional singer-songwriters: [Hannah Frances](https://www.hearingthings.co/tag/hannah-frances/) and [Tasha](https://www.hearingthings.co/tag/tasha/). Alongside those performances, Hearing Things’ very own [Andy Cush](https://www.hearingthings.co/author/andy-cush/) will be spinning vinyl, and [Dylan Green](https://www.hearingthings.co/author/dylan-green/) will be showing off some of the [brand new beats he’s been working on](https://www.hearingthings.co/how-i-became-a-beatmaker-by-watching-other-people-make-beats/). Also: In an era of spiraling costs, these tickets are extremely affordable! We really just want to celebrate with the readers who make Hearing Things possible.

We’re extremely psyched about this lineup. Hannah Frances’s 2025 album [*Nestled in the Tangles*](https://hannahfrances.bandcamp.com/album/nested-in-tangles?ref=hearingthings.co) scored a place on [Jill’s year-end list](https://www.hearingthings.co/jill-mapes-favorite-music-of-2025/), where she wrote, “This roving singer-songwriter makes music that feels like being swaddled, until suddenly the blanket is wrapped so tightly you’re suffocating. This is a compliment, a feat really.” Let’s get swaddled and suffocated, people!

Meanwhile, in his review of Tasha’s gorgeous recent LP [*You Are Spring!*](https://tashamusic.bandcamp.com/album/you-are-spring?ref=hearingthings.co), [Andy raved](https://www.hearingthings.co/a-future-classic-for-alt-black-queer-folks/), “It’s a record of everyday details, easy melodic turns, sighs of gratitude. The effect is effortless, but in fact it takes careful craft to sound so unbothered without sounding smug. Put it on, soak it in, walk away happier.” It’s 2026, we all deserve some elegant solace.

See you there!
